The Associated Press cover how French presidential candiate Marine Le Pen has come out to back the secession of France from the EU following the lead of Great Britain.
Following the British precedent, Le Pen promised to hold a nationwide referendum on whether France should leave or remain in the European Union if she is elected president.
“I will do it in France,” she said and hailed the British who had “the courage to choose their destiny” by voting to leave the EU.
The idea of secession is American but not unique to America. All over the world people are moving toward decentralization. Le Pen is even leading in current polls for support as the next president of France.
It is time that we walk away from DC and peacefully determine our own future.
